Three masseuses arrested on prostitution charges

Three women were arrested on prostitution-related charges at a downtown massage parlor Thursday morning during an undercover operation by Petaluma police.

Police conducted an undercover prostitution sting at Lavender Day Spa, 131 Liberty St., Suite D, after receiving several complaints of foot traffic to the business.

An undercover officer posing as a customer entered the spa and was solicited for a sexual act from Jianping Huang, 55, of San Francisco, according to Sgt. Jim Stephenson.

Other officers entered the business to make the arrest and located a surveillance system covering the entire perimeter of the business, Stephenson said.

Also arrested were Lydie Hu, 48, of San Jose and Jiezhen Gao, 50, of San Jose for "keeping or living in a house of prostitution."

The arrests were made at 10:48 a.m.

All three women were transported to the Petaluma Police Department for booking. All three received misdemeanor citations and were released.
