Fog is forecast for Thursday morning but the sun should break through by afternoon.
Rain is expected to start again late Thursday night and continue into Saturday.
Unofficial sources used by the Weather Service measured up to 3 inches of rain in Sebastopol between Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Near the coast, sources measured 2.5 inches in Monte Rio and 2.35 inches in Bodega Bay.
Southern areas of the county saw the least rainfall, and observers collected only about around 1 inch of rain on average in Petaluma.
