Trojans roll over Greyhounds

Petaluma continued to roll in Sonoma County League play Friday night, grinding up Healdsburg's Greyhounds in their home kennel at Recreation Park, 33-20.

The game was not nearly as close as the final score indicated.

Petaluma rolled up 191 yards rushing in the first half, building a 26-2 halftime lead. Included in the ground yardage was a 77-yard touchdown run by fullback Sam Spurling.

At one point in the third quarter, Petaluma led, 33-2, before the Trojans went to their bench, giving playing time to most of its healthy combatants.

Petaluma also won the junior varsity game, 17-0.
