Boozing finger-flipper collides with cars

A man suspected of DUI crashed into three vehicles while making an obscene gesture at another driver whom he almost hit Oct. 3, according to police.

At approximately 3:25 p.m. James Hadley, 41, of Guerneville was driving southbound on Sonoma Mountain Parkway approaching East Washington Street. According to witnesses, he nearly hit another vehicle whose driver was forced to slam on her brakes to avoid a collision.

After the driver honked her horn at Hadley, he began making obscene gestures out the window at her. Hadley became so distracted with gesturing, he collided into three cars stopped in front of him.

Police arrived and performed a sobriety test. Hadley blew a .17 BAC, was found to have a previous DUI and an expired license. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, his vehicle was towed and he was booked into county jail. No one was seriously injured, though one driver complained of some pain after the collision.
