A fight broke out at a Petaluma pizza parlor early Sunday, leaving several people injured and one man in custody, Petaluma police reported.

It started as a dispute at the New Yorker Pizza restaurant on Petaluma Boulevard North, reported Sgt. Ed Crosby.

That escalated into a brawl-like fight between several people.

When it was over, injuries ranged from a dislocated shoulder and an injured eye socket to other more minor injuries, Crosby said.

As officers arrived, one man ran from the restaurant and officers ran after him. He was caught on Kentucky Street.

Officers arrested Uriel Caballero-Ramos, 25, of Sonoma on suspicion of assault.

Some of the victims were treated by paramedics at the restaurant and some were taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital, Crosby said.
