Casa Grande High School's ball-sharing Lady Gauchos took care of business against Novato Tuesday night, swatting aside the Lady Hornets, 49-34.
Casa Grande continued to play strong defense, using full-court pressure to keep the taller Hornets away from the basket.
On the offensive side, Casa shared the ball well and shot well from the perimeter, hitting 10 shots from behind the arc.
Brooke Santander led the Lady Gauchos with 14 points, with Lyndsey Murnin adding 12 and Lexie Schloetter 10. Angela Llaverias with eight points, Meagan Burke with three and Joy Jovick with two rounded out the Casa scoring.
Dayna Dolcini pulled down nine rebounds and made four steals.
Casa Grande is now 5-1 on the season going into the MATS Tipoff Classic at Miramonte High School. The Lady Gauchos open Friday with a 3:30 p.m. game against Dublin.
