McEvoy debuts new wine

McEvoy Ranch, one of the country’s largest producers of certified organic olive oil, has expanded its offerings to include wine.|

McEvoy Ranch, one of the country’s largest producers of certified organic olive oil, has expanded its offerings to include wine.

Made from organically grown and sustainably farmed vines that are interplanted with the olive trees, winemaker Margaret Koski-Kent has announced the release of the ranch’s flagship wine, a 2012 Pinot noir The Evening Standard. McEvoy Ranch also has a new tasting room.

Also, the ranch announced the appointment of John Calmeyer to the newly created position of director of sales, charged with the growth and expansion of the company’s market presence.

With a career spanning three decades, Calmeyer has impacted the growth and expansion of several of the wine industry??s most renowned and recognized brands, including Rodney Strong, Clos du Bois, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Buena Vista, Perrier Jouet and Sebastiani.
