The Petaluma Film Alliance is gearing up for its seventh annual Film Fest on May 2 at the Mystic Theatre, 21 Petaluma Blvd. North.

The film festival program includes a broad mix of animated, live action, documentary shorts, comedy and drama by filmmakers from the U.S. and around the world. Shows run at 2:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with the late show offering edgier films.

Each session will host a conversation with the filmmakers. Many of the film shorts have picked up top prizes across the country and screened at film festivals such as Toronto, Sundance and Cannes. Special guest filmmakers include Parisian filmmaker Guillaume Foresti, who will premiere his French short film “Vivid;” Austin-based documentarian Robin Berghaus with her film “Stumped;” and “Pigs” director Laura Mohai.

Tickets are $10 to $15. All-day passes are $25.

A full film schedule and tickets are available online at filmfestpetaluma.com.
