FRIDAY

Cinnabar presents ‘Pagliacci’

One of the greatest tragic operas ever written, containing one of the most recognizable musical passages in history, ‘Pagliacci’ is the story of a troupe of performers torn apart by jealousy and madness. Cinnabar pairs the English-language production with the world debut of ‘Rhapsody of Fools,’ created and performed by Clowns on a Stick. Cinnabar Theater, 3333 Petaluma Blvd. N. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Runs through June 25. Cinnabartheater.org.

Mad Maggies

Entertainingly fronted by the iconic Maggie Martin - a routine star of the annual Accordion Babes Calendar - the Mad Maggies, performing live at the Big Easy this weekend - unleash a tornado of rowdy, folk-punk-Balkan-Gypsy-jazz-pirate-ska-ethno-Cajun and Klezmer-grass mayhem. The Big Easy, 128 American Alley. 8:30 p.m. $5 cover. Bigeasypetaluma.com.

SATURDAY

Jackie Greene & Friends

As a fundraiser for The Blue Rose Foundation - which offers grants to families for quality pre-school education - singer-songwriter Jackie Green, formerly with the Black Crowes, comes to the Mystic for an evening of meticulously crafted tunes and first-rate musicianship. The Mystic Theatre, 21 Petaluma Blvd. N. 8 p.m. $52. Mystictheatre.com.

Rock ’n’ Roll Masquerade with Revenant & Tempest

Magic, music, food, prizes, a Heroes and Villains fashion show, and masks/costumes to boggle the brain. All pieces of the massive masquerade blowout presented by local rockers Revenant. Joining them will be Celtic rockers Tempest, and surprise guests. All ages show. Phoenix Theater, 201 E. Washington. 8 p.m. 7 p.m. $10. Thephoenixtheater.com.

SUNDAY

‘Don’t Blink’ with author Tom Booth

Formerly an artist with Nicktoons, author Tom Booth comes to Petaluma’s Copperfield’s Books to read from his delightfully odd new picture book “Don’t Blink!” Think you can stare down a turtle, and cheetah, an elephant? This book, to be read live by Booth, challenges you to not blink while turning the pages of this outrageously silly story. Booth will appear twice, at 11 a.m., and again at 2 p.m. Copperfield’s Books, 140 Kentucky St. Copperfields.com
