Top 10 Books: Petaluma’s Bestsellers

Movie adaptations lead to renewed popularity of source books|

The top ten best-selling titles at Petaluma’s Copperfield’s Book Store, for the week of March 3 to March 10, 2018

This week’s Top Ten is a clear illustration of how movies and books support one another. On both the kids and adults lists, a number of titles have suddenly appeared (“Ready Player One,” Number 4, “Annihilation,” Number Ten, and “A Wrinkle in Time,” Number Three on the Kids list), all popular again in the wake of just-released or about-to-be-released big budget movies based on those original books. What Orwell’s dystopian “1984” is doing on this week’s list is a bit of a mystery, though.

But hey, it is a great book.
