Lane changes, closed ramps tonight on Highway 101

Commuters driving northbound on Highway 101 tonight should prepare themselves for a change in lane and a closed exit ramp in Petaluma.

Caltrans announced on Monday that traffic lanes would be shifted to the left, weather permitting, as part of the highway widening project. Additionally, the Lakeville on and off ramp will be intermittently closed to traffic.

The lane shift will allow drivers to travel over the newly constructed center portion of the overcrossing. Motorist are advised to drive slowly, as the area is still under construction.
