Marin County teen injured in Highway 101 car flip in Petaluma

A driver of a convertible Ford Mustang who flipped the car during a Highway 101 crash in Petaluma Monday was a Novato teen, reported the CHP.

Margaret Burmingham, 17, had minor injuries after Monday's 12:45 p.m. crash, according to the CHP.

Burmingham was driving south on the highway near Petaluma Boulevard South when she came upon slowed traffic.

She swerved and hit an embankment, rolling the Mustang.

The car landed on its roof in a highway lane. Petaluma firefighters got her out by popping the door off.

During the crash the Mustang also clipped a Toyota Prius, driven by Katherine Crank, 61, of Santa Rosa.
