Family identifies man found dead under Petaluma bridge

The man whose body was found under the D Street bridge in Petaluma this week was identified by a relative as Bram Stinson, a 24-year-old Petaluma native.

Stinson, who worked as a cook in Petaluma restaurants, was not a transient, said his brother, Matt Stinson.

"He was an active member of the community," Matt Stinson said.

Bram Stinson graduated from San Antonio High School in Petaluma and played guitar, his brother said.

Officials said Stinson's death appeared to be a suicide. Police described him as a local who lived on the streets.

Matt Stinson said he had no information on the cause or the circumstances of his brother's death.
