Health Center offers new resource clinic

The Petaluma Health Center has opened a new, weekly free Community Resource Clinic to help people learn how to find the resources they need. The health center said that they created the new clinic to address a growing need for patients to learn about well-being issues that are not specifically medical - such as how to apply for health insurace or where to locate quality child care.

Health center bilingual staff members are available at the weekly clinic to offer advice on a variety of services available in Sonoma County. The center said that patients can even receive assistance with questions related to housing, transportation, employment opportunities and other nonmedical issues.

The clinic is being held Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Petaluma Health Center at 1179 North McDowell Boulevard. For more information call 559-7500.
