Hanging up the apron

Seventy-one-year-old Graziano Perozzi, owner of Graziano's Ristorante on Petaluma Boulevard North, is hanging up his apron for a long deserved retirement after 29 years in the kitchen. In 2011, he won a Community Award of Excellence for Small Business of the Year. The word is he has sold the restaurant to Jan Rosen, who Petalumans may remember was owner of J.M Rosens Cheesecake in the Golden Eagle Shopping Center, Rosens Eastside Grill on Sonoma Mountain Parkway and was involved in starting a nightclub on Kentucky Street. Rosen took a break and sold the businesses in 2004 after the death of her sister and business partner Michelle Rosen. There's no word on what Rosen's plans for the restaurant are. Perozzi, known for cooking up some of the best gnocchi around, wasn't ready to comment on the sale of his restaurant and Rosen couldn't be reached by press time.
