A grand farewell

Graziano Perozzi of Graziano's Ristorante celebrated his retirement from the restaurant business with 200 of his closest friends, family and customers at a July 1 bash. A plane flew over head with a banner that read "Congrats Graziano. Thanks for 30 years!" The Mystic Theater's marquee also read "Congratulations Graziano. Thanks for 30 great years! In addition, Whole Foods, Petaluma Market, Central Market and The Wine Bistro posted congratulatory signs. Seventy-one-year-old Perozzi, who won a Community Award of Excellence for Small Business of the Year in 2011, announced his retirement and sale of his restaurant a month ago. The word is he has sold the restaurant to Jan Rosen, who Petalumans may remember was owner of J.M. Rosen's Cheesecake in the Golden Eagle Shopping Center, Rosens Eastside Grill on Sonoma Mountain Parkway and was involved in starting a nightclub on Kentucky Street.
