The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following call in the south county last week.

Tuesday, July 8

12:05 a.m. — Christopher A. Ruiz-Torres, 27, of Petaluma, was arrested on Santa Rosa Avenue for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing more than 25 grams of marijuana.

9:16 a.m. — Suspicious circumstances were reported on 1st Street.

12:13 p.m. — Vandalism was reported on Woodward Avenue.

4:32 p.m. — Suspicious circumstances were reported on Paula Lane.

6:44 p.m. — Suspicious circumstances were reported on Highway 101 North in Petaluma.

8:44 p.m. — Fireworks were reported on Minnesota Avenue.

8:44 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported on San Antonio Road. The same report was repeated at 8:51 p.m.

10:10 p.m. — Fireworks were reported on Minnesota Avenue.

Monday, July 7

7:52 a.m. — A disturbance was reported on Petaluma Boulevard South.

6:27 p.m. — Dumping or littering was reported on Petaluma Hill Road.

Sunday, July 6

3:01 a.m. — A suspicious person was reported on Chileno Valley Road.

5:07 a.m. — Suspicious circumstances were reported on Brittany Court.

10:03 a.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported on Adobe Road.

12:30 p.m. — Sheriff deputies responded to a animal control call on Main Street.

6:22 p.m. — A disturbance was reported on Main Street.
