Andrew “Andy” Edward Bordessa died in Valley Ford on Oct. 21, 2014. He was 82.

A Petaluma native, Bordessa was a lifelong resident of Sonoma County and lived in Valley Ford since he was 11. He attended Valley Ford Grammar School and Tomales High School where he excelled in sports.

He married Louise Gonnella in 1956 and raised their family in Valley Ford. After 23 years, he retired from Shoreline Unified School District where he always had a smile on his face, a laugh ready to be heard, and change in his pocket if you needed money for lunch.

He is survived by his children, Andy Bordessa, Lori Olson and Leone Manni; sister, Norma Parker; and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise Bordessa; and siblings, John Bordessa, Art Bordessa and Rosemary Bordessa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Ford Fire Department or Memorial Hospice.
