Petaluma police seek suspect who stole $2,000 bike

Police released a surveillance camera picture Wednesday of a man suspected of stealing a bicycle from a grocery store.|

Petaluma police released a surveillance camera picture Wednesday of a man suspected of stealing a $2,000 bicycle from a grocery store.

The picture was taken Monday night at Lucky supermarket on Lakeville Street.

It depicts a man, 20 to 30 years old, walking into the store entrance where the bike was parked by its owner.

The man took the bike, which was later recovered. Now police are trying to find the suspect.

They’ve released his picture and ask anyone with information to call Officer Ed Esponda at 707-781-1218.
