Robbery reported at CVS Wednesday afternoon

Petaluma police have reopened the streets around Sonoma Mountain Parkway and Corona Road following an investigation into a robbery.

An alert was sent out around 1:15 p.m., advising residents to avoid the area for the next hour because of police activity.

Petaluma police Lt. Danny Fish said a robbery was reported at a nearby CVS store at The Plaza North shopping center on North McDowell Boulevard. Officers had a suspect in custody, he said.

It’s unclear whether the suspect was armed.
