A Petaluma man has been arrested in connection with a new pair commercial burglaries but he’s not suspected in two other break-ins caught on videotape last month, police said Friday.

The latest capers involve the My iPhone Store and The Computer Repair Shop, both located on Petaluma Boulevard North, Lt. Ken Savano said.

Officers were called to the iPhone store about 2:45 a.m. Thursday by an audible alarm but found no signs that anyone had forced their way into the building, Savano said.

Less than two hours later a resident called police to report he confronted a suspicious person leaving The Computer Shop a short distance away, Savano said.

Officers responded to the area and found Dean Morgan, 41, hiding behind a parked car. Items found in his possession linked him to the iPhone store break-in, Savano said.

He was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of burglary and making criminal threats to the witness. His bail was $30,000.

Savano said he is not the person suspected of stealing about $3,000 worth of items from two other businesses on the McDowell Boulevard late last month.
