Petaluma police are searching for three male suspects who allegedly assaulted three other men in the Keller Street garage early Saturday morning.

Around 1:50 a.m., a Santa Rosa man and a Novato man, both in their late 20s, were assaulted by three men in the 120 Keller St. garage, according to Petaluma police.

A male passerby in his 20s who attempted to break up the altercation was also injured, police said. The unidentified passerby helped the men into their vehicle and the fled the scene.

The unidentified suspects also fled and are still at large, police said.

The two initial victims were treated at Marin General Hospital, Lt. Tim Lyons said. One man suffered a concussion, and both men had scrapes and bruises from the fist fight, he said.

The incident was initially reported to the Novato Police Department, who then alerted Petaluma officers, Lyons said.

Police don’t believe the men knew each other, but officers are still investigating the case and waiting to get in contact with the victims to develop a description of the suspects, Lyons said.

Those with information regarding the incident are encouraged to contact Officer Hansen at 707-781-1202.
