Hay barn fire burns south of Petaluma

Firefighters were working early Wednesday to extinguish a hay barn fire south of Petaluma.

It broke out about 3 a.m. at a barn in the 3000 block of Chileno Valley Road, fire officials said.

Smoke was drifting into Petaluma as firefighters from numerous jurisdiction converged on it.
