Police said they are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men suspected of robbing a man at gunpoint as he used a Petaluma ATM earlier this month.

The victim told police he was making a withdrawal at a Wells Fargo ATM in the Washington Square shopping center around 5:27 a.m. on August 11 when the two men approached him from behind. One of the men allegedly held a gun to the side of the victim’s head and demanded his money, then both fled on foot with the cash, according to an announcement by the Petaluma Police Department.

Police obtained video from the ATM this morning, which they said appeared to corroborate the victim’s account. The suspects are described as a Hispanic and white male in their 20s, and were wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident, police said.

Those with information that could help the case are asked to contact Petaluma police at 707-778-4372 or Petaluma Detective Nick McGowan at 707-778-4456.
