Awkward holiday photos with Sonoma County families

‘Tis the season when well-meaning folks pull out the cameras and try to capture the magic of the holidays while the whole family is together.

Thanks to the power of digital cameras and smartphones, we can generally avoid the tragedy of the ill-timed nose picker, the inevitable wonky eye and the chance to nix the cool pose idea gone bad.

Back in the days of processed film, however, we weren’t so lucky. Or were we? Out of the dark room came a few awkward gems that promise to haunt us until we finally destroy the photos.
