Petaluma police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing 13-year-old boy who recently said he wanted to run away to Guerneville and live among the homeless.

Lucas Michael Coleman was last seen 3 p.m. Monday as he left on foot from a Santa Rosa medical appointment, Sgt. Ed Crosby said.

Coleman, a foster child with a history of running away, has not been responding to phone calls.

Police released his photo Tuesday night.

He is described as white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 170 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a brown baseball cap, black jeans and black Van’s shoes. He was also wearing a brown hoodie sweatshirt inscribed in green with “May the forest be with you.”

Coleman attends school in Santa Rosa and is not know to be suicidal, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 and the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372.
