Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

11:42 p.m.: Police arrested Santa Rosa resident Donaciano Salazar III, 29, near the northbound Petaluma Boulevard North onramp on a felony charge of possessing a controlled substance while armed, and misdemeanor charges of possessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, a violation of probation and driving with a suspended license.

Thursday, Jan. 12

10:15 p.m.: Roxana Mendoza, a 34-year-old Petaluma resident, was arrested at a location on Lakeville Circle on a felony allegation of assault domestic violence with injury.

Friday, Jan. 13

3:16 a.m.: Petaluma’s Ryan Baker, 36, was arrested at Main Street and Petaluma Boulevard North on a felony allegation of obstruction/resisting a police officer and for misdemeanor charges of battery on a person, vandalism and a violation of probation.

6:52 a.m.: Kenneth Jorgensen, a 54-year-old Petaluma resident, was arrested at a location on North McDowell Boulevard on felony allegations of theft from an elder/dependent adult in an amount over $400 and a violation of probation.

Sunday, Jan .15

4:26 a.m.: Police arrested 23-year-old San Rafael resident Maicold Recanoj-Velasquez near the intersection of Baywood Drive and South McDowell Boulevard on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and hit and run with property damage.

9:21 p.m.: Petaluma’s Guillermo Callado, 33, was arrested at Adobe Road and East Washington Street on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Monday, Jan. 16

1:13 a.m.: A Petaluma juvenile was arrested at 3333 Casa Grande Road on a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of resisting a police officer.

5:44 p.m.: Police arrested 43-year-old Petaluma resident Richard Patton III at 620 Madison St. on felony allegations of threatening a crime with intent to terrorize and causing harm/death of elder/dependent adult.
