St. Vincent students lend hand all over town

St. Vincent High School students did everything from washing police cars to singing for seniors during the school’s Day of Service.|

St. Vincent High School students were all over Petaluma recently, painting, weeding, cleaning, washing vehicles, entertaining, stocking shelves, building, serving and more.

Students spread out in the community for the school’s second annual school-wide Day of Services, helping everyone from school kids to elders to police officers.

Among the many agencies to be helped by the St. Vincent students were the Alphabet Soup thrift shop, Friends of the Petaluma River, Giant Steps, Happy Hearts Preschool, La Tercera School, McKinley School, Meadow School, Miwok School, Petaluma Bounty, Petaluma People Services, St. James Church, St. Vincent Church, St. Vincent Elementary School, Sunrise Assisted Living and the Petaluma Police Department.
