Two rollover crashes in Petaluma Monday injured five people, according to Petaluma police.

The first crash was on Lakeville Street and Caulfield Lane just before noon. A driver apparently lost their brakes as they exited Highway 101 and rolled into an intersection, crashing into another vehicle, sending it rolling, according to initial reports.

Four people were taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital, all with minor injuries, said Petaluma police Lt. Tim Lyons.

The second crash happened about 3:40 p.m. on northbound North McDowell Boulevard at Corona Road, said Petaluma police. One vehicle hit another, knocking the second car onto its side. The driver of the first vehicle had injuries and was taken to a hospital.
