Petaluma police seek suspected graffiti vandal

Police are asking the public to help identify a suspected vandal linked to graffiti that read “FURY,” “CRUEL” and “FTW” found on businesses, cars and street signs along East Washington Street.|

Police are asking the public to help identify a suspected vandal linked to graffiti found on businesses, cars and street signs in west Petaluma.

During an investigation early Saturday morning, police found tags that read “FURY,” “CRUEL” and “FTW” on a dozen business, three vehicles and a number of street signs along East Washington Street from Water Street to Kenilworth Drive, according to a news release.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with stripes, dark-colored pants and dark shoes with white soles based on images captured from a security camera at a business that was victimized.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Community Service Officer Kim Mota at (707) 781-1243.
