Pixie haircuts, cars with fins and poodle skirts- it’s 1957 in Sonoma County!

In the middle of the 20th century, the population in Sonoma County was under 150,000 and the median family income was around $5,000. Apples and prunes were our highest grossing agricultural crops with grapes coming in third.

At the height of the baby boom, Santa Rosa was growing rapidly to accommodate the quickly blossoming population. Hugh Codding and Henry Trione were helping to change the landscape developing acres and acres of affordable homes in Montgomery Village.
