Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published. Petaluma Police reported the following incidents.

Wednesday, Jan. 10

2:47 p.m.: Two transient individuals, Steve T. Alves, 35, and Dairn N. Sheehy, 27, were arrested at the corner of Caulfield and Hopper for disorderly conduct, trespassing and violation of probation, all misdemeanors.

Friday, Jan. 12

8:07 a.m.: Jode Hererra-Salcedo, 25, of Rohnert Park was arrested on Copeland Street at D Street for possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia, possession of an open container while driving with a suspended license, and violation of probation, all misdemeanors.

2:33 p.m.: Sheri A. Kennady, 50, of Cotati was arrested at Kohl’s, 1363 N. McDowell Blvd., for misdemeanor shoplifting.

3:31 p.m.: Ross F. Campbell, 31, of Petaluma was arrested?on North McDowell Boulevard for misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol.

6:03 p.m.: Joseph K. Papazian, 38, of Petaluma was arrested on G Street for felony aggravated assault with injury.

6:05 p.m.: Jose A. Gomez-Nunez, 49, of Petaluma was arrested on East Madison Street for battery on a spouse, a misdemeanor.

Saturday, Jan. 13

12:12 a.m.: Jesus Mendez Jr., 31, of Rohnert Park was arrested at 1368 N. McDowell for evading a peace officer during the serving of a probation-related warrant.

6:17 p.m.: Stephen F. Nellis, 76, of Petaluma was arrested at 104 Novak Drive for driving under the influence of alcohol and evading a peace officer, all misdemeanors.

Sunday, Jan. 14

2:03 a.m.: Vishal Talwar, 37, of Petaluma was arrested at 6 Turquise Court for misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol.

2:28 a.m.: Taylor M. Dill, 25, of Sacramento was arrested on Kentucky Street for driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

8:37 a.m.: Steven G. Tackett, 54, of Petaluma was arrested at 261 N. McDowell Blvd. for felony obstruction of a police officer and violation of probation.

11:24 a.m.: Justin L. Vandaveer, 35, of Petaluma was arrested at 301 S. McDowell Blvd. for misdemeanor obstruction of a peace officer.

4:59 p.m.: Jeffrey J. Berg, a homeless individual, was arrested at the corner of Washington and Western for exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a firearm and for threatening a crime with the intent of terrorizing.

8 p.m.: Gerardo Orozco, 41, of Petaluma was arrested on C Street for driving under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor, and for driving a vehicle without a required DUI interlock device.

Monday, Jan. 15

5:15 a.m.: Bon H. Kim, 38, of San Rafael was arrested at 429 E. Washington St. for making equipments associated with counterfeiting, a felony, and for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Also arrested along with Kim was Erica M. Pricert, 25, of Healdsburg, who was charged with giving false identification of police officers, possession of a narcotic and associated paraphernalia, and for violation of probation.

6:14 a.m.: Edward J. Garaventa, 24, of PEtaluma was arrested at 1630 Big Bend Drive for felony vandalism, possession of a silencer, manufacturing of a large-scale ammunition magazine and for using a firearm in the commission of a crime.

10:43 p.m.: Gregory J. McKenney, 42, of Petaluma was arrested at 333 S. McDowell Blvd. for misdemeanor battery.

11:43 p.m.: Aaron L. Rico, 24, of Petaluma was arrested on North McDowell Boulevard at Old Redwood Highway for driving with a suspended license while under the influence of alcohol.

Tuesday, Jan. 16

1:25 a.m.: Christopher M. Dunn, 42, of Petaluma was arrested at 939 Lakeville St. for felony robbery.

6:24 p.m.: Bahram Navi, 57, of Petaluma was arrested on Technology Lane for assault with injury and child endangerment.
