The Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma is looking for a new chief executive due to the planned departure of its current leader.

Fair officials announced this month CEO Erin Post resigned after less than two years in the position, but intends to stay until her replacement is found. Post said in a statement she was honored to have led the fair to a “new chapter” and is preparing with her family to “embark on a new adventure in Colorado.”

The fair’s board of directors wants to have a new CEO hired by the end of February.

Board members are looking for an “experienced administrator” to continue the Sonoma-Marin Fair’s traditions while finding opportunities to expand the annual fair and other events, according to the fair statement.

Applications for the job are due Friday, and interviews are anticipated in mid-February. More information about the job and applications are available online at Sonoma-MarinFair.org/employment.
