Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

Petaluma Police reported the following incidents.

Wednesday, Jan. 31

9:48 a.m.: Abraham M. Santos, 39, of Petaluma was arrested at 226 Greenbriary Circle, for felony false imprisonment, felony aggravated assault, and felony violation of probation.

8:38 p.m.: Daniel Martin, 31, of Petaluma was arrested at the corner of Lakeville Street and Wilson Street for driving under the influence of alcohol (a misdemeanor) and evading police officers with wanton disregard (a felony).

9:37 p.m.: Matthew N. Bushner, 27, of Petaluma was arrested at 3100 Lakeville Hwy. for violation of probation.

10:01 p.m.: Maria D. Ortega, 42, of Santa Rosa was cited at the corner of South McDowell Boulevard and McNeil Avenue on a misdemeanor outside warrant.

Thursday, Feb. 1

12:55 a.m.: Daniel P. Garcia III, 35, of Petaluma was arrested at 347 Lakeville St. for a misdemeanor violation of probation.

3:30 a.m.: Edward A. Martiniez, 33, was arrested at the Main Adult Detention Facility in Santa Rosa for kidnapping, aggravated assault, battery and threatening a crime with intent to terrorize, all felonies.

2:14 p.m.: Eric D. Vasquez, 29, of Richmond was arrested at Acadia Drive and Rainier Avenue for driving with a suspended license and giving false information to a police officer, both misdemeanors.

3:21 p.m.: Christopher A. Pohlman, 31, identified as a transient, Frederic L. Dutter, 61, also identified as a transient, were arrested at Ellis Street and Washington Street for misdemeanor public intoxication.

5:58 p.m.: John E. Oberg, 71, of Petaluma was arrested on Elm Drive for misdemeanor battery.

Friday, Feb. 2

5:28 p.m.: Juan A. Guzman-Garcia, 23, of Petaluma was arrested at Rielsing Road and Sonoma Mountain Parkway for felony reckless driving and misdemeanor reckless driving and engaging in an illegal speed contest.

Saturday, Feb. 3

3:54 a.m.: Robert G. Rivard, 27, of Greenbrae was arrested on B Street for misdemeanor public intoxication.

1:17 p.m.: Ariana A. Maldonado, 23, of Petaluma was cited at 900 Ely Road on a misdemeanor bench warrant.

9:12 p.m.: Justin E. Podesto, 32, of Petaluma was arrested at Gossage and Petaluma Boulevard for misdemeanor public intoxication.

10:24 p.m.: Richard M. Gonzalez, 22, of San Francisco was arrested on Hwy. 101 N. near Old Redwood Highway for driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

11:05 p.m.: Keith L. Humphreys, 42, of San Francisco was arrested at 23 Petaluma Blvd. N. for misdemeaonor public intoxication.

Sunday, Feb. 4

2:25 a.m.: Leanna L. Halvorsen, 29, of Petaluma was arrested at 353 Lakeville St. for battery on a police officer and violation of probation, both misdemeanors.

10:05 a.m.: David A. Snowden, 61, of Santa Rosa was arrested at Acorn Drive and Sycamore Drive for felony violation of probation.

Monday, Feb. 5

3:16 a.m.: Michelle M. Williams, 39, of San Rafael was arrested at 1368 N. McDowell Blvd. for misdemeanor public intoxication.

1:25 p.m.: A 17-year-old Petaluma juvenile was arrested at 333 Casa Grande Road for felony vandalism.

2:15 p.m.: Steve T. Alves, 35, identified as homeless, was arrested at 320 N. McDowell Blvd. for disorderly conduct and loitering, violation of probation, and placing a polutant near state waters, all misdemeanors.

2:58 p.m.: Terry L. Kramer, 54, of Santa Rosa was arrested at 301 S. McDowell Blvd. for possession of a controlled substance and giving false identification to a police officer, both misdemeanors.
