Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

Petaluma Police reported the following incidents.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

2:05 a.m.: Salvatore V. Carnazza, 29, of Petaluma, identified as homeless, was arrested on Washington Street and Western Avenue on a misdemenaor outside warrant.

5:29 p.m.: Diana R. Bloom, 35, of Santa Rosa was cited on Lakeville Street at Lindberg Lane for misdemeanor violation of probation and driving with a suspended license.

8:08 p.m.: Jonathan P. Bankes, 32, of San Francisco was arrested at Kohl’s, 1363 N. McDowell Blvd., for misdemeanor shoplifting.

Thursday, March 1

11:21 a.m.: Matthew N. Bushner, 27, of Petaluma was arrested at 140 Kentucky St. for misdemeanor public intoxication.

4:51 p.m.: Todd J. Frost, 22, of Petaluma was arrested at 136 Banff Way for misdemeanor violation of probation and possession of paraphernalia.

5:29 p.m.: Michael J. Gebhardt, 30, of Petaluma was arrested at 1900 Sestrini Lane for felony Post Release Community Supervision violation.

7:57 p.m.: 49, identified as homeless, was cited on Gossage Avenue at Magnolia Avenue on a misdemeanor bench warrant.

Friday, March 2

11:34 p.m.: Brendon M. Shiefer, 23, of Petaluma was arrested at 747 Kentucky St. for felony violation of probation, and possession of prohibited ammunition.

Saturday, March 3

12:07 a.m.: Alexis L. Becerra, 22, of Santa Rosa was arrested on North McDowell Boulevard for misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and felony cruelty to a child with possible injury.

12:21 a.m.: Kathleen L. Bloom, 35, of Petaluma was arrested on Lindberg Court for felony assault with injury and misdemeanor willful cruelty to a child.

12:18 a.m.: Roy L. Jones Jr., 48, of Petaluma was arrested at the corner of Madison Street and Payran Street for felony violation of Post-release Community Supervision orders.

8:47 p.m.: Steve T. Alves, 35 (of Petaluma), Amber F. Gonterman, 20 (identified as a transient), Joshua B. Mertz, 30 (identified as homeless), and Steven A. Sotoygama, 36 (of Petaluma), were cited at 825 E. Washington St. for misdemeanors including trespassing on private property.

11:30 p.m.: Ian P. Elkin, 18, of Petaluma was cited at the corner of Lakeville Street and Washington Street for being a minor in the possession of alcohol.

Sunday, March 4

12:07 a.m.: Matthew L. Murphy, 64, of Pt. Reyes Station was arrested at the corner of 8th Street and D Street for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Monday, March 5

7:05 p.m.: Brandon V. Stray, 29, of Rohnert Park was arrested at 5320 Old Redwood Hwy. for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

7:37 p.m.: Austin B. Bowers, 30, identified as homeless, was arrested on South McDowell Boulevard for misdemeanor battery.

7:39 p.m.: Grove. C. Beagle, 59, identified as homeless, was arrested at 101 N. McDowell Blvd. for public intoxication.

Tuesday, March 6

2:39 p.m.: Avikash R. Dutt, 28, of Corte Madera was arrested at the corner of Copeland Street and East D Street on a felony bench warrant.

9:31 p.m.: Jonathan P. Rackerby, 22, of Cloverdale was cited on Sonoma Mountain Parkway at Turtle Creek Way for posession on a switchblade, a misdemeanor.
