Here’s where to party on St. Patrick’s Day in Sonoma County

You don’t have to be Irish to party on St. Patrick’s Day. Here’s where to go around Sonoma County.|

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us once again. What began in the 17th century as a day of religious feast in observance of Ireland’s patron saint is now a fully-fledged, holiday hoopla of bagpipes, corned-beef and green-colored beer.

By the luck of the Irish we’ve found some of the best places in Sonoma County this year to wear green and celebrate:

St. Patrick’s Day at Whiskey Tip

Local promoter Jake Ward has developed a reputation for hosting exciting and lively events around Sonoma County. Ward teams up with the Whiskey Tip in Santa Rosa to host a night of burlesque, variety show and silent disco. If the traditional holiday route of guzzling green beverages in an Irish pub doesn’t sound appealing this year, then head over to the Whiskey Tip for a fresh take on an old tradition.

When: 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. March 17

Where: Whiskey Tip, 1910 Sebastopol Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95407
