Event to help children in Afghanistan

Stubbs Vineyard is hosting a fundraiser for Turquoise Mountain on Saturday, Aug. 2.|

Stubbs Vineyard hosts the Turquoise Mountain summer fundraiser at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.

The event features food, wine, live music from Petaluma-based Sofa Kings and a live auction. The guest speaker for the event is Shoshana Clark Stewart, CEO of Turquoise Mountain.

The organization works to build primary schools for girls in Kabul, Afghanistan. It is also expanding to build a health clinic and arts institute to teach afghan arts to craftsmen and women in Kabul.

Stubbs Vineyard is located at 1000 Petaluma Marshall Road.
