Starting in February, the Petaluma Regional Library will launch a Homework Center. Volunteers are needed to help with the project.

Volunteers should have a passion for helping kindergarten through 12-grade students learn and succeed in school.

The Homework Center is planned as a free, safe place where students can work on their homework assignments after school hours. In addition to homework help,

Children and teens will be welcome to drop-in for help with homework problems or just use the space for quiet study. The Homework Center will be open Tuesdays after school from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

For more information, to schedule an informational presentation from the librarian in charge of this service, or to receive applications, contact Cailin Yeager at cmyeager@sonoma.lib.ca.us or 763-9801 ext. 0715.
