The Rotary Clubs in Petaluma are seeking applicants 15 to 17 years of age who are interested in studying abroad for an academic year through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.|

The Rotary Clubs in Petaluma are seeking applicants 15 to 17 years of age who are interested in studying abroad for an academic year through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.

Qualified candidates should have above-average grades, demonstrated leadership skills in their school and community, be flexible and willing to try new things, open to cultural differences and ready to serve as an ambassador for their country.

Students usually receive a small stipend and room and board are provided by approved host families. Participants are generally responsible for their airfare, insurance, travel documents and spending money.

Also sought are host families for exchange students from other countries. Host families provide room and board and share their lives with exchange students, involving them in family, community and cultural activities for four months.
