Deadline nears for scholarship applicants

Petaluma Educational Foundation Scholarship applications for the Class of 2018 are due by Jan. 24. The PEF online application portal can be accessed through the website at pefinfo.com.

Click the Scholarship tab and students will be directed to the PEF/Awardsprings online portal to apply.

Students complete a general questionnaire, and the system displays scholarships they are eligible to apply for this school year. Scholarships support vocational, 2-year and 4-year programs for students continuing their academic careers in the fall of 2018. The announcement of individual awards will take place in April at the annual PEF Scholarship Reception.

“PEF is honored to manage 66 scholarship programs for donors who provide the foundation with clear criteria for selecting recipients,” said PEF Executive Director Maureen Highland.

“In 2017, PEF awarded $208,550 to seniors graduating from all seven Petaluma high schools, bringing the total to $3,132,185 awarded since 1990. This legacy of support for education is an amazing tribute to the generations of students who have gone on to become community and business leaders both here and across the nation.”
