Petaluma High searches for its best gentleman

Petaluma High’s popular GQ Pageant is Saturday|

Petaluma High School’s student popular GQ Pageant will be held Saturday from 7-10 p.m. at the school.

The “Bachelorette” themed pageant is a fundraiser for the Petaluma senior prom, and many local businesses donate goods and services to help the class stage it.

Candidates are judged by teaching staff in categories of wit, talent and overall appearance in both swimwear and formal wear. They also have to answer a series of questions posed by their escorts.

The contestants this year are Michael Baribault, Riley Whisman, Danny Marzo, Cody Evans, Hayden Fehler, AJ Shaheen, Aidan Eustace, Aidan Manousos, Brandon Kwan and Gabe Jardine.

During intermission there will be a silent auction and escorts will collect donations to select which of the contestants will be named “Mr. Popularity” - the contestant who can raise the most money.

The Associated Student Body has also produced a calendar featuring the 10 contestants, which will be on sale at the event.

Tickets are $10 each. For details, contact the school’s main office at 778-4652. Tickets also will be available at the door Saturday.
