A celebration of life for Gretchen McDonald will be held Oct. 25

A Petaluma resident, McDonald died on Oct. 4, 2014.|

Gretchen Mertel McDonald died on Oct. 4, 2014 at the age of 53.

McDonald was born and raised in Marin County but has lived in Petaluma for more than 30 years.

She was a partner at Vogel and McDonald CPAs in Novato for 20 years alongside her partner Jeff Vogel.

McDonald is survived by her husband of 32 years, Mike McDonald; mother, Elizabeth Mertel; and siblings, Jeff Mertel and Heidi Van Loo.

McDonald is predeceased by her father Stanley Mertel.

A celebration of her life will be held on Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. at Rooster Run Golf Club in Petaluma.
