Funeral mass for Caroline DeSouza on Thursday, Dec. 17

DeSouza worked for the Novato Post Office for 35 years.|

Caroline M. DeSouza died on Dec. 9, 2014 in Petaluma. She was 96.

DeSouza was born in Reno, Nev., but reared and educated in West Marin, graduating from Tomales High School. For 35 years, she worked for the Novato Post Office.

She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Novato and a member of SPRSI of Novato and several Holy Ghost Societies.

She is survived by her sister, Bernadette DeSouza. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary D. Nunes.

Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral mass Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, 1806 Novato Blvd., Novato.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 3 to 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.

In her memory, masses are appreciated.
