PLACING NOTICES

• HOW TO SUBMIT A FUNERAL NOTICE/OBITUARY
  We offer two types of notices: Funeral (Death) Notices, which are placed upon the death of an individual,
  and In Memoriam notices, which publish on a loved one's birthday or on the anniversary of death.
  Please email your notice to funeralnotice@pressdemocrat.com in a .doc format, with photos in .jpg format.
  Please include the following information when you place a notice:
  -contact name, phone number and address,
  -funeral home/mortuary name for a death notice,
  -date(s) notice is to appear,
  -notice written as you would like it to appear.
  Photos will be cropped by the Press Democrat to the correct size.
  Faxed photos cannot be accepted due to poor reproduction quality.

  You may also come to our offices at 427 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa.
  You will receive an e-mail with a proof and cost for the notice.
  Upon your review, please call us to approve; your credit card information will be taken by phone.
  
• NOTICE/OBITUARY PRICING
  $25 (non refundable) set up fee.
  $4.15 per line = first day, $3.15 per line = second day.
  No copy charge for third day.
  Photos = $30.00 per day.
  Each line is approximately 30 characters (including letters, spaces, commas, etc.)
  Any notice over 72 lines will be entered as a 2-column notice.
  The funeral notice charge includes online publication at Pressdemocrat.com under the ‘Obituaries’ tab, where the notice will be posted for 30 days along with a guestbook where condolences may be left.
  The notices can also be accessed at www.legacy.com for 30 days.
  
• PRICING OF ‘IN MEMORIAMS’
  Unlike a death notice, an In Memoriam publishes to mark a birthday or anniversary.
  $39.75 is the charge for one day in print (up to 18 lines) and one day online, with no photo; or $69.75 one day in print, one day online, with a photo.
  Each line is approximately 30 characters (including letters, spaces, commas, etc.)
  In Memoriam notices are posted at PressDemocrat.com under the ‘Obituaries’ tab.
  
• DEADLINES
  For notices with a photo, submit information by 12 p.m. the business day ahead of publication.
  If do not have a photo the deadline is 2 p.m. the business day ahead of publication.
