City Sports opens Petaluma club

Petalumans now have a new place to get fit with the opening of City Sports Club on North McDowell Boulevard.

The club, part of a Bay Area chain with eight locations, opened its doors on Jan. 17 and is planning a grand opening party on Jan. 24, the company announced.

The 38,000-square-foot facility, located at 477 N. McDowell Blvd., includes free weights and machines, but also offers an indoor basketball court, three-lane lap pool, spa, personal trainers, and studio classes such as Kickbox Cardio and Zumba. Babysitting is available for an additional fee.

“The Petaluma club is a state-of-the-art facility with a wide range of amenities designed to meet the needs of people of all ages, interests and fitness goals,” the company stated earlier this week.
