Petaluma United and SCA combine soccer clubs

Petaluma United and Sonoma County Alliance (SCA), the two largest competitive soccer clubs in Petaluma and Windsor, have merged to form North Coast Futbol Club (North Coast FC)|

Petaluma United and Sonoma County Alliance (SCA), the two largest competitive soccer clubs in Petaluma and Windsor, have merged to form North Coast Futbol Club (North Coast FC) under the Petaluma Youth Soccer League (PYSL) umbrella. With more than 550 players hailing from 12 different cities, representing four different North Bay counties, North Coast FC will become one of the largest competitive soccer clubs in NorCal’s Region 5.

In a statement, the board of directors of the new club said, “North Coast FC is dedicated to providing the highest quality youth competitive soccer experience in the region.”

The club will have teams competing at all levels including Premier, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

“With an unmatched core of professional coaches and trainers, all players benefit from a common curriculum and consistent coaching,” the club statement said. “North Coast FC will strive to be the best soccer club at developing players and teams to maximize their full potential, while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship. North Coast FC will support these objectives by creating a consistent, safe and positive environment to provide excellent coaching, training and competition in games at the highest age-appropriate level. North Coast FC will promote self-confidence, good sportsmanship, personal and social responsibility and discipline and respect for all players, coaches, referees and the game of soccer.”

North Coast FC will form teams in the under-8 through under-19 age groups in both southern and northern Sonoma County.
