Senior project gives Casa batting cages

The Casa Grande High School girls softball diamond may have a much-needed addition of new batting cages by the end of spring.

The batting cages are being built through the effort of Casa Grande senior Alexus Hale, who took on the construction as an ambitious senior project.

The framework for the cages already are in place. Still needed are the fencing around the framework to complete the project.

Hale needs a little financial help to finish the job.

Hale has set up a special account under Softball Batting Cage at the Petaluma branch of Exchange Bank. Her project has a tax ID number, making contributions tax deductible.
