SCA ’97 girls end season

After playing soccer together for many seasons, players on the Sonoma County Alliance ’97 Girls Team are closing out their final season before many go off to play in college.|

After playing soccer together for many seasons, players on the Sonoma County Alliance ’97 Girls Team are closing out their final season before many go off to play in college.

Currently, the ’97 Girls are in second place in Northern California Premier League standings, earning a spot in the California State Cup quarterfinals in the under-18 division next month.

Their last home game is Sunday at 2:15 p.m. at Luchessi Park. The team will be honored with speeches, recognition and roses handed out by coach Vinnie Cortezzo following the game.
