Ring competition in several forms will be showcased in Petaluma’s Veteran’s Memorial Bulding on Saturday night following the Butter and Eggs Day festivities.

Highlight for local ring fans will be a boxing match featuring former Petaluma High School football player Mike Russell in what might be his final match before he turns professional.

Russell will meet Ramon Hernandez of Oakland for the Double Vision 210-pound Northern California Championship.

Russell’s fight will be one of seven boxing matches on the show, including one involving Megan Farham of Santa Rosa in a 125-pound girls match.

The action includes six kick boxing matches and three Mauy Thai matches, one a girls fight.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with the first fight at 6 p.m.
