Coda Technology players proudly hoisted the Wayne Douglas Memorial Award following a 6-4 win over a tough Mike’s Barber Shop in the Petaluma National Little League AAA Tournament.

Following an 8-7-1 third-place regular season, Coda took a hot finish from the regular season to the playoffs after winning two consecutive games to end the regular season.

The talented Coda team won all four playoff games. Along the road to the Wayne Douglas Memorial Award, Coda defeated Taps, Liz White, Beels Soper and Mike’s Barbershop for the championship.

The most impressive wins in the playoff run were against regular-season first place Beels Soper and second-place Mike’s.

In the win over Beels, first baseman/catcher Jason Rigney led the way with a 3-for-4 performance that included a single, double and triple. He drove in two runs while scoring three to send Coda to the championship game.

Throughout the playoffs, Coda had outstanding pitching from seven pitchers - Jack Palmer, Ryan Ransom, Callan Sheldon, Landen Dean, Kyle Dunphy, Hunter Shannon and Colt Shannon. Sawyer Sheldon and Scott Weinstock were exceptional second basemen, and Joseph Anakar, Elliot Dole, Cole Becker, Hunter Shannon and Callan Sheldon played exceptional outfield defense.

The team was led by manager Brett Ransom and coaches Brian Rigney and Dave Sheldon.
